The wholesale price a dealer pays the manufacturer for a vehicle before taking into account discounts such as dealer holdbacks and incentives. That means the invoice price is the absolute most a dealer will have paid for a new car or truck. It could be hundreds or even thousands of dollars less, and is why dealers can adertise new models at “below invoice prices.”
