Credit history

The record of an individual’s past spending, borrowing and repayment of debts. In general, it shows how well and how quickly the individual repays debts and how much the person has borrowed. The report that is generated from the history is called a credit report. Lenders use this information to gauge a potential borrower’s ability to repay a loan. Source: HUD
