Free vehicle financing is back with a vengeance at Ford dealers this month.
The automaker is offering 0% loans on the Ford F Series pickup — the best-selling vehicle in the country — and up to $1,000 in bonus cash for ending a lease with a competitor and up to $750 in trade-in assistance.
Some of Ford’s most popular cars, including the Mustang, Fusion and Taurus, can also qualify for free financing.
How Much Can Discount Financing Save You?
The cheapest version of the truck starts at $25,930, including destination charge. If you financed that amount at 4.18% — the national average for five year loans — the monthly payment would be $480.
But take out a five-year, interest-free loan for the same amount, and your payment would drop to $417 a month, a savings of $63 a month and $3,780 over the life of the loan.
Use our auto loan calculator to help you figure out what the monthly payments would be for any car, at any interest rate.
Of course, you’ll need a reasonable credit score to qualify for the best rates.
There are no set rules about who can qualify for interest-free financing, but if your FICO credit score is less than 720, don’t be surprised if you have to pay more than 0% to finance your ride.
These interest-free loans are only available from Ford Credit through July 7, 2014. Terms may vary across the country.
