Our Budget Brides return with more great wedding ideas

June is here and our Budget Brides are back!

Last summer, we celebrated this big month for summer marriages with a daily tip on how to save on virtually every aspect of getting married from some very savvy newlyweds.

This year, we're going to take a more detailed look at how a dozen brides threw the wedding of their dreams without breaking the bank.

I think you'll be absolutely amazed at the range of style and cost we've found.

Jessica Mumford, for example, got married on the beach in Cape May, N.J., with the waves literally lapping at her bare feet. The bride and her 90 guests celebrated over lunch at a popular seaside restaurant. Total cost: less than $7,000.

Theresa Roma, on the other hand, was wed in a historic Gothic church in the heart of Buffalo, N.Y., with a dozen bridesmaids at her side. Theresa's 380 guests toasted her nuptials with an Italian dinner at a stunning century-old armory. Total cost: nearly $30,000.

Indoors. Outdoors. Formal. Informal. Traditional. Nontraditional. You'll see how Jessica, Theresa and our 10 other brides brought their own unique vision, and significantly different budgets, to their wedding plans.

The critical thing they have in common is that they had budgets and proved to be incredibly resourceful when it came to keeping costs in check and ensuring they'd get the wedding they wanted at a price they could afford.

All of these ceremonies and receptions could have — almost certainly would have — cost thousands of dollars more without the savvy decision-making and creative genius our brides brought to the process.

And after you've read their stories, I think you'll agree I'm not overstating the case when I use the word genius to describe their efforts.

You'll find a new Budget Bride story every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday for the entire month of June.

Another new feature is commentary by Lisbeth Levine, coauthor of The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day. You'll find her observations and suggestions in every story.

"I've seen spectacular weddings with equally spectacular budgets during my years of writing about celebrity weddings," Lisbeth tells me.

"But I'm amazed at what these savvy couples pulled off on limited budgets. Thanks to their creativity and attention to detail, their weddings rival the look of ones that cost four times as much."

Of course, we'd love for you to join the conversation.

You can start by sharing your comments on any of the stories.

But you can also join us for a Google Hangout where Levine and Sharon Naylor, a writer at the Bridal Guide and author of more than 35 wedding books, will discuss budget-conscious ideas for ceremonies and receptions and answer your wedding-related questions.

It will be at 3 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, June 11. Tweet your questions to @Interest or mention us on Google Plus and use the hashtag #BudgetBrides2013 to have your question considered for the Hangout.

We’ll also share more photos of our couples’ big day on our "Budget Brides 2013" Pinterest board. Let us know which ideas and weddings you admire the most by re-pinning and liking their pics. And finally, be on the lookout for an upcoming Pinterest-themed contest — more details to come.

It's going to be quite a month.
