Jen goes on a cost-cutting spree

Signed up for a gym rebate

I pay through the nose for health insurance from Amerihealth New Jersey, but I never took advantage of their Healthy Lifestyles, which sends you a check for signing up for and using a fitness center. Until now. I need to visit the gym 120 times in a 365-day period. I keep the logbook they mailed me in the car and leave it at the front desk every time I check in. It's always filled out by the desk attendant by the time I'm done with my workout. And that's an important part of this exercise. I could cut out the gym membership to save cash, but I use it. I'm there four to five days a week. It's an expense that's worth it to me, but if I can reduce the cost, why not?

Annual savings: $150
