Discover cardholders can use rewards on Amazon.com

Are you eyeing a Kindle for Christmas? Use your Discover credit card.

Discover cardholders can now use cash-back bonuses to pay directly for their shopping cart purchases at Amazon.com.

And through the end of this year, they can also earn double cash rewards on those Amazon purchases.

To start taking advantage of the deals, you’ll need to first link your Discover card to your Amazon.com account. You can apply as little or as much of your cash-back bonus as desired to your Amazon.com purchase.

There’s no required minimum, and any remaining balance is charged to your Discover card. A cash-back bonus dollar is equivalent to a dollar on Amazon.com.

Regarding the double cash-back rewards, you’ll earn 2% on up to $250 in Amazon.com purchases during November and December. (Those using Discover’s Miles or Escape cards will earn double miles.)

That’ll earn you a total of $10 -- just a fraction of a Kindle but equivalent to a stocking stuffer for a loved one.

You don’t need to sign up on Amazon.com to use it; just use your Discover card and the rewards will show up on your statement.
